Let’s get real…

I love weddings. I love the idea of having a day to share in someones love, to watch real men cry, to watch pieces of art that are wedding gowns parade down that aisle. I love eating great food, getting to drink as much as you want, and party like there is no tomorrow. I love having an event to go to, with someone/people I love and share a great night out with almost no care in the world.

I am not the girl who has her wedding planned. Nor am I the girl who has “dreamed” about this day her whole life.

I am just the girl who loves going to beautiful events. The girl who knows pretty much exactly what she wants about everything.

I am the girl who knows exactly which song she would love to dance to with her guy- this one. Which photographer she wants – this one. Who she wants to write signs like the ones above - this one. The girl who knows most definitely that she will have peonies at her wedding- a family sentiment. Who also maybe has made an entire board of gorgeous weddings she loves, and would love to have eventually.

I know what I want…for that day…when it comes. Don’t worry, you will know…

But I have always loved weddings..and cannot wait for this weekend when the bf and I attend a seriously awesome black tie affair- may have gotten a kick-ass dress in coral, and spoiled myself with my first pair of Louboutin heels- in nude. It is gonna be a James Bond kind of night-eeeeek!

Happy Thursday lovelies!

There are days where I get magazines which I cannot wait to open up…yesterday was one of those days. The days where new J Crew/Anthropologie catalogues come in the mail.

I love the styling, the patterns, the jewels. I pretty much usually want just about everything in there…or at least I try to convince myself that I do totallymostdefinitelyabsolutely need another bracelet/pair of jeans/chambray shirt/bikini/candle.

I may have bought some pretty things (here & here) without even using their SPRINGBEST coupon for 25% off – lucky me it came out the day after I purchased!

GO and get their loot peeps – they have some seriously great stuff!

Happy Wednesday!

It seems like the entire world has gone crazy for prints! They are not only all over the fashion world, but interior design world as well.

Anything DVF I could totally have. And frankly, would love to be able to pull off an entire printed head to toe pant suit.

It just screams fabulous to me.

Thanks for reading!

If I could I would live in Hawaii. There is some strange obsession I have with it- same with my family in AZ, and my sister here in Toronto. Therefore I dream..constantly… I was Alana Blanchard (the girl in the pic) with salt in my hair all day, and tanned skin. Maybe/maybe not always being scared of being eaten by a shark.

Who cares. I’d live there. For the culture, the scenery, the water.

Everything.

Ugh. Ok back to reality now.

I have a confession.

I may or may not be a obsessed serious blog follower of Sydney. So much so that my sister saw this post and thought..OMG great Christmas gift! She was right, I screamed and said “IS THIS THE SWEATER THAT SYDNEY WAS WEARING?!?” As if I know her personally.

Therefore voila! this was my attempt to be sorta…maybe somewhat like her (fashion wise at least). Coincidentally, before her post I bought those F21 booties in Dark Brown, and shipped them to AZ. I figure I can totally try to mimic her style….because I love/adore her and her little family, and her style oh so very much.

Crazy huh? How we grow to like/love/wanna be friends with/could be friends with the bloggers we follow!

With that said, if I had one of those “OMG we are wearing the exact same thing at the exact same time” and it was Sydney…I may almost be starstruck (totally not embarrassed), then secretly high-five myself in my head.

Just saying.

Come fly with me…let’s fly away…

Travelling can sometimes be a real pain. Trust me I know. I have been flying since I was 5…and it doesn’t really get easier/more enjoyable.
As a well seasoned traveller…being in a steel capsule, with recycled air for at least 4 hours…I have learned a couple things when it comes to fashion. Here is my list of fail proof fashion to totally look like you’ve got your ish together when you walk on/off the plane!

*   This does not guarantee that the hot guy who got on the plane with you, will pick you up afterwards…because I can’t help that your hair has the potential to look like a disaster after 4 hours. Just sayin’   *

1. A basic tee. These are great because if you get too hot and take off your sweater…you could pretty much add anything to this and it would look effortless. So versatile and so comfy!
2. A comfortable drapey/wrap like sweater. If you are cold you can snuggle up. If you are hot you can remove without getting all your makeup wiped on the inside- genius!
3. Leggings. Black preferably, but need I say more?
4. Flat shoes. I hate that part when you have to take your shoes off- gross. But flats allow you to remove easily and could be cute patent ones too!
5. A really great big bag. I love how much some of my bags hold. I enjoy small compartments for necessities and a large opening for ease of use (especially when you are smashing your head on the tray to dig deep into the bottom of those).
6. Accessories: hat/watch/simple jewellery/sunglasses. These are things you can add to any outfit and look totally pulled together. I really don’t like wearing too much, but I feel it adds that little touch of glam. Plus if you wanna be that chick walking off the plane wearing sunglasses..be her, or just put them on your head so you look cool.
7. My “I don’t know what I’d do without on a plane” makeup things. Hand cream- OMG amazing. Bronzer- because you know you smooshed half of it on the back of your seat/pillow while you were sleeping. Solid perfume – because recycled air smell/tooty air smell is just not a cool smell. Lip balm- whoever invented this stuff..I could kiss them!
Happy Travels!

We have to start somewhere…

This cold weather is making me feel like those “stereotypical designers”…aka they always wear black!
Well I have a jacket similar to this one, but mine is from Zara last year.
And boy has it gotten worn this fall.
It has the perfect structure and also can hide anything I am wearing underneath (aka my workout attire- some days I wear a sports bra all day!)
So add a little lipstick, gold, aviators and BAM…edgy designer you get!

The 5 year present…THE bag!

Jacket: Danier (bought at outlet- awesome deal!) | Dress: ASOS | Shoes: Cole Haan (also an outlet purchase) | Bag: LV Damier Ebene Neverfull MM | Necklace: Target

Yes that is my new baby. Yes my bf is amazingly wonderful and spoiled me this year.

We are not that couple who buys each other outrageous gifts. This does not mean that each year we will try to outdo the next. This was 5 years. He said ” Five years of being wonderful. Five years of being an amazing partner to me. Five years treat for you.”

Ahhhhh…I cannot tell you how HAPPY I am to get this special gift! I have wanted THAT specific one for a long time! And it is even better in person. It is stunning, well crafted, strong and be-au-ti-ful!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

P.S. I spoiled him with a lovely card and a delicious dinner, last night!

Get THAT foot in the door!

Now that is a shoe to put in the door… someone will clearly notice you!

Saw this puppy on The Pink Peonies (only of my daily blog reads). It is the Everyly sating T-strap pump in Vibrant Fuchsia

I love that T-strap, so classic, so dainty…and being on sale for $232, I’ll take it…too bad I am not a size 7/8!

Happy Thursday!
