Jacket: Zara – similar here | T-shirt: Zara- similar here | Jeans: Zara- similar here | Shoes: Converse | Bag: Louis Vuitton | Jewellery: Club Monaco- want this one, GLAMROCKS design,  Ann Taylor (love this one), Stella & Dot

So I have had those Converse for maybe at least 5 years. When all the hype was about wearing Chucks. I barely wore them, gave them to my sister, and then I thought, because of fashionista’s on Pinterest.. I might as well give em a try again.

This was what I wore to sweet talk the Apple or Rogers guy into a) giving me a new phone b) fixing mine for free.

Fixed my phone, and didn’t need a new one, unfortunately…

Maybe next time…as my “usual” Apple guy was no where to be found (he’s the one who always gives me free stuff and fixes my computer).

Little did I know I was wearing every single thing Zara..until now. Hahaha.

Happy Thursday lovelies!

Dress: sister’s Zara | Shoes: Christian Louboutin, similar | Sunnies: Versace, similar | Bracelets: Ann Taylor – seriously want this one, Stella & Dot, Madewell, similar | Watch: Kate Spade | Rings: Nicola Chong Jewellery & GLAMROCKS design

So I did it. I bit the bullet. Pulled the trigger. Saved like there was no tomorrow…and got them. And let me tell you.

I L O V E T H E M.

Almost so much that it would seem pathetic. I mean they are shoes right. Just shoes. Shoes with a killer heel, an amazing cut out by the toes, a colour I can wear almost everyday, and that red. Oh my that perfect shade of RED.

Do they hurt your feet. Of course- when I wear them for an entire night. But so do my $20 shoes, and they hurt so much more. I love how my feet look in them, how slender my legs look. Ok maybe this is a love love relationship with my shoes – I know I’ll stop.

But so I wore them to the wedding we went to, and then this outfit to a bridal shower yesterday. With the sister’s brand spanking new Zara dress which is now sold out- yes-Great purchase!

Now onto bigger things…should I get them in black? Just kidding…I may wait a bit. But man, hot shoes can seriously make a girl feel special.

Happy Monday!

Yesterday was sister day. Since the sister has been busy working away at school, we barely get to go out and spend a day just us girls. So yesterday was that day because she is leaving to visit the fams in AZ tomorrow.

We spent the day getting our nails done, lunch, errands, shopping (maybe too much shopping)…and just hanging out! It was fun and long overdue. I miss having her around with me, being my little design assistant. She’s the best. I just need to remember to get her on a day of plenty of sleep, feed her, make sure she doesn’t exhaust herself too much..and well feed/water her – then we are good to go!

Funny how she’s like this and so is the bf..one in the same..lucky me I guess!

Happy Tuesday lovelies!

Toast!

Hey everyone, so remember when I mentioned that there would be big events. It seems like 2013 is our year huh!

Maya being preggers, Nest getting their first ever Muskoka cottage, and now….

…no not engaged…

I am starting a new company, an Event Design one. Teaming up with Steamwhistle Brewery- my friend Dana- I will now cater to birthday parties, baby showers, open houses, dinner parties, weddings…you name it!

I decided to call it Toast, because I wanted it to be about celebrations. Nothing specific to the style of party, but something everyone can relate to, like Nest.

After hosting Maya’s baby shower, I contacted Prairie Girl Bakery here in Toronto…and now they are using some of my pics on their FB page, and in their marketing – yay!

Here is a sneak peak of the images the sister and I took for the website – some of them we are not using, and some of them are “action/candid shots”.

Hope you like!

Scarf: Zara old but similar here | Top: T. Babaton| Jeans: Zara old but similar here | Boots: Sister’s from Uruguay | Watch Michael Kors old but similar here | Bracelet: Links of London | Ring: Nicola Chong Jewellery

Hey everyone, sorry for the lack of outfit posts! With the bf studying away, that means less times out and less opportunities for outfit pics! Plus the sister and the mama have been also pretty busy to take pictures, not to mention the lack of light we get at this time of year.

I bought this scarf and those pants at the same time, and my goodness have they been on repeat. Stretchy pants are my fave…they let me to eat as much as I want!

Happy Monday lovelies!

Ahhhh vacay…

* images taken by Nest Design Studio

Sometimes a little break from real life is all you need. To feel the sand beneath your toes, and the sunshine on your skin. My goodness was it glorious – I swear we were supposed to exist in a tropical location…I just know we were!

We (sister and I)  had the pleasure of heading to a family friends place in Florida, where all these pictures pretty much summed up what our daily activities were.

Beach. Dogs. Food.

I could have done with more sun…these golden babies, are not as golden as they’d like to be.

We actually didn’t sleep in at all, and rarely napped- unless it was on the beach. We ate well, and shopped for sure. But shopped on a budget – mostly Target, and then maybe a few boutique stores on Main Street. I was dying to get some “beach decor” for my Muskoka Beach Cottage project, (which you can see is taking shape on Instagram), but was stopped by the sister, as I couldn’t take home shoes and home decor in my suitcase!

Psh…next time!

All said and done, I am much less stressed, and ready to take on a new month before my next little break (next time to see the family).

Happy Tuesday lovelies, thanks for reading!

Hat: Crewcuts (perfect winter one)| Coat: Canada Goose | Shirt: Joe Fresh (old but cute one here) | Tank: American Apparel | Leggings: Joe Fresh | Socks: Kodiak (cozy ones here)| Boots: Target (old but loving these) | Aviators: Anthropologie | Lips: Tarte Lip Surgence

Holy smokes we got over 25cm of snow here…in two days! We had to seriously bust out our “Geese” aka our Canada Goose coats! It’s funny how so many people prematurely bust them out, when it’s not even that cold. Wait for it peeps… -20 below temps are coming.

Ta-da. Here they are. Oh and we are going to dump about 20+cm of snow on top of that. So not only will you be covered from head to toe and not able to drive… you will freeze too!

This pic was taken before that happened…so I was smiling…then. Maybe because our little kitty Abbey came out to snuggle.

Hahaha.

Coat: J Crew | Necklace: Zara | Long Sleeve: Smart Set | Leggings: Zara | Boots: Nine West Vintage Collection (love these guys…they have a serious winter tread!) | Watch: Kate Spade Gramercy Grand | Bracelet: random store  | Rings: Ann Taylor & personal | Lips: NARS Red Lizard

Sometimes a little colour is all you need. And sometimes a lot of colour is all you need!

This is my new coat from J Crew, which is “Thinsulate” lined, and I got on sale! My Zara necklace is also one of my faves, as it is a serious statement necklace, and can dress up any plain outfit.

(It may have been on repeat multiple occasions in a row).

With this insanely cold weather, I cannot wait to bust out my colourful clothing…so this colour is exactly what I need to come out of my allblackcloset.

Happy Wednesday, thanks for reading!

Jacket: A Movable Feast | Hat: Joe Fresh | Chinos: GAP | Boots: Zara | Avaitors: Anthropologie | Lips: Tarte Lipsurgence in Enchanted (seriously a super fave!)

I am a Pinterest-er. I go on there every day, expecting to be inspired. And it never seems to disappoint. I am quite the sucker for wonderful images. Personal style posts…

– insert serious “ugh” sound-

– huge sucker -

(I totally secretly wish that I was one of those awesome style bloggers I see all the time there too!)

I like to make mental notes of what part of their outfit makes it just right? Colour? Hair? Slouchy pants/tight pants? Stilettos?

Since I seriously enjoy fashion/fashion bloggers…and am always interested in trying to use the items of clothing that I already have to duplicate/try to duplicate, or even just being inspired to try new outfits I haven’t tried before.

Usually it is easier said than done, because the fit is sometimes off…that’s frustrating. But for the most part playing dress up can be fun!

Since I know you have voiced/liked my outfit posts before…come with me on this style journey!

I have a confession.

I may or may not be a obsessed serious blog follower of Sydney. So much so that my sister saw this post and thought..OMG great Christmas gift! She was right, I screamed and said “IS THIS THE SWEATER THAT SYDNEY WAS WEARING?!?” As if I know her personally.

Therefore voila! this was my attempt to be sorta…maybe somewhat like her (fashion wise at least). Coincidentally, before her post I bought those F21 booties in Dark Brown, and shipped them to AZ. I figure I can totally try to mimic her style….because I love/adore her and her little family, and her style oh so very much.

Crazy huh? How we grow to like/love/wanna be friends with/could be friends with the bloggers we follow!

With that said, if I had one of those “OMG we are wearing the exact same thing at the exact same time” and it was Sydney…I may almost be starstruck (totally not embarrassed), then secretly high-five myself in my head.

Just saying.
