I love my room now! Not sure if you remember how it looked before…or the concept.
I do in fact have those sheets that I put in the concept, I just cleaned my room and those were being washed.
But TA-DA! There it is. That lovely cozy room above is where I spend my time watching tv, lounging with Bunny or sometimes listening to music and folding laundry!
Now one may ask a designer, why is it so neutral?
1. Because to tell you the truth it is most likely the best way to do it. Yup, boring I know, but in reality…we know what is out there. And there is A LOT! So it is better for me to keep the walls and the furniture relatively neutral so if I wanted a pop I could do it in accessories. You peeps know me too well..I love bright things..nail polish, hot coloured pants or tops.. you name it. 2. I could redesign my room all over again in a heartbeat! So by keeping it neutral I can pretty much go in any direction, if need be!
It all started with a fantastic fabric I found for a steal. The issue was that it had a few imperfections on it (boo). But turned out I have expensive taste..surprise surprise. Because that fabric was from Robert Allen (but I got it at a outlet), and was in one of their newest books that I found at my drapery lady’s showroom. Ha who knew!
From there I found those awesome glass lamps from IKEA, and wahoo they had the PERFECT shade colour (meant to be I tell you!)!
Then I knew I wanted small message boards, so I made them from a coordinating fabric I found as well. Much smaller sized then the one I had previously. I found almost all my frames and accessories from West Elm, Pottery Barn, Homesense or Chapters.
But if you have any questions, let me know..and hopefully I can remember!
