There is something about Charcoal Grey for me… it has a somewhat soothing effect, but masculine.
We love a well made bed, and matching sheets!

How much would every guy love this? ANY guy that loves beer I think… this is too much fun!
So 2012 is supposed to be a good year for the Tiger right?
Well 2012 has brought us the first of a few publications for Nest Design Studio!
Adore Magazine from Australia, has decided to feature us for Mr. Bachelor! Check it out here.
We are on pages 92-105 and cannot be more grateful!
This “Bachelor Pad” was definitely created with a feminine touch in mind. We love all the details in this casual and comfortable Southern California home for who we think is a single Canadian hockey player!
We found this one here.
Thank you Thank you Thank you Urban Barn! Look who got featured for the “Bachelor Pad condo”!
You can read the rest of it here.
Hey all, so yesterday I spent the day decorating a tree for my Mr. Bachelor Client. He is quite glam as you know, he has the Ultimate Patio, and I showed you a sneak peek of what is to come.
The thing about Mr. Bachelor’s tree is his request was “Just make sure it is big enough and totally non- traditional”. Which if you have ever gone Christmas ornament shopping- not as easy as it sounds. I had to figure something out- colour for me was the key. Glam means more expensive usually looks better- so glass ornaments is what we used (I tried plastic, didn’t really cut it). According the the sister and the bff, more is always better. He was stuffed he was… Mr. Tree was stuffed with gorgeous glam!
We found some really neat ornaments, spiky things which look like they were from that game Mine Sweeper. Glass balls, with peacock feathers. Huge ocean blue ornaments. And the random “traditional” glass ball, but in a deep turquoise blue.
My bff and I did his tree- along with my sister’s “direction” as she dropped by as we we were finishing. I purchased all the ornaments from Homesense, The Bay (my best finds), Home Outfitters and Urban Barn (for all those funky ones).
Take a peek at what we have done!
Assessing what needs to be done…yes she is wearing the tree skirt. Oh man..she keeps me entertained!

Decorations with feathers in them and with peacock feathers!
My little beaded tree decorations. I did them at the bf’s house too! They are just too darn modern and cute! Just to add a little sparkle!
Hope you all are having as much fun as I am this holiday season!

This week/weekend review is all about our new client…the Contemporary Bachelor. Included below are some pics of some of the pieces we are including. Can’t give away too many hints about this Mr. other then….man… it must be nice to be a bachelor sometimes.
Reason 1. You can hire a young designer lady to design your place so if women came over they wouldn’t feel too left out…and if guys came over they would want your place.
Reason 2. You genuinely like masculine things…and no one can discriminate because…you’re a guy. (M & I are huge fans of clean lines, neutrals, basics, the necessities).
Reason 3. Sometimes, spending for one is great. No muss, no fuss, time to be selfish (in a good way)…at least for now.
Reason 4. When you hire a lady, who can think like a guy, but co-ordinate like a girl. Every room is a “man’s room”, but the 800 thread count sheets didn’t hurt anyone.
Reason 5. It is all in the details, ladies get it, guys try to understand. Wood in every room is a must to a guy. Wonderful fabric in every room is a necessity to a lady.
Reason 6. Things that are sparkly are not a priority. As long as it doesn’t come with the 4 C’s. It is always appreciated. Just the right amount of bling we need.
Hope you are as excited as we are for this project!
