Let’s Get Real…holiday edition!

Hey friends…so it is the holiday season. And we are officially on vacay! So we shall be away from tomorrow until sometime in the new year.

Thanks for being patient and understanding that we too have vacation time, and get to spend time with our families.

Have a wonderful holiday, sending much of our love to your families this wonderful season!

Thank you for reading and see you in the new year!

Lucky me!

I have been begging M to do a few small write ups of what it’s like to being a new Mom. So when I was over there the other day…and snapped a few pics of this little monkey, we really got to hang out (for a full hour of quiet time). So as the breastfeeding and changing and napping occurred, I got to ask M a few things about being a new Mom for the first month, and things that she has learned already….

Thanks for reading! xo

Hey babe!

Oh my goodness…

She is so lovely. Tiny…Little…Beautiful…mixed little Asian monkey!

The sister and I finally got to meet her this past weekend!

We were literally at the mercy of her serious appetite, and sleepy schedule but even for the short amount of time we got to hold this teeny tiny babe – it was lovely.

M is doing great and such a good Mum already, and her hubby B is a serious baby whisperer.

The hilarious thing is M was totally not ok with having so much pink, and yet the little monkey was pretty much in pink head to toe (because of all the gifts they got). Funny how your serious “preferences” before hand go right out the window with what is easiest and closest.

There is just so much love for them, I cannot wait to babysit – I actually said seriously, any time (just maybe not overnight).

LoveLOVElove..Happy Monday!

M had her baby this morning!!!!

Eeek we are so excited!!!!

I am not sure if I can give anything away, but they had an adorable, healthy baby girl!

She/I will do the official announcement later this week/whenever that lady has time!

But we just wanted to wish her + B all the best, and I bet that the little “monkey” is as wonderful as they are!

Sending them all our love!

Oh hey guys, don’t mind us…we are just hanging out… waiting for a baby to arrive!

She seems to be taking her sweet time- huh!

Happy Tuesday!

So I am pretty sure we have just about the best followers ever. You all have made us feel so welcome here, and really have supported us through our careers, our stories and our life events. We cannot thank you enough!

We wanted to say thank you to each and every single one of you. The ones that come every day, every week and every month. The ones that comment, and like our posts. Even the ones that maybe just pop in sporadically.

We have oh just about over 1000 followers! ONE THOUSAND…and fourty three!

Oh Happy Day!

You guys are just too absolutely wonderful, thank you so much for your love every single day.

You all know by now that N and I are huge foodies … we love to indulge in food, especially the sweet stuff.  As much as we are alike when it comes to design, we differ in many ways … like N hates seafood … she thinks it takes fishy … well duh, it’s supposed!
I on the other hand love seafood … I could it all the time!
And that is why this Crab Melt caught my eye!
It just looks sooo yummy! I can’t wait to test it out!
dsc3077v dsc3113Crab Melt
For 2
1/2 lb lump crab meat
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1 eggs
1/4 cup mayonnaise (optional)
1 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon of sweet paprika
1/2 teaspoon old bay seasoning
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
1/2 jalapeño, finely chopped (more if you want it spicy)
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon, plus more for garnish, finely chopped chives
jarlsberg cheese, sliced
2 slices sourdough bread, toasted
1 tablespoon chives, finely chopped
Pre heat oven to 400F.
Whisk together the egg, and ingredients for the crab mixture. Gently fold in the crabmeat, taking care again to not break up the lumps of crab meat. Spoon onto the two slices of toast, top with a slice of jarlsberg, and bake for 3 minutes.  Turn up the heat to broil, and broil until bubbling and lightly browned (about 3 minutes). Garnish with chives.

Have you Canadians ever heard of Prairie Girl Cupcakes?

O M Goodness. To die for!

This amazing bakery makes only cupcakes. Cupcakes of all sorts, special edition ones, unique flavoured ones, and some classic ones that boy-oh-boy knock your socks off.

M insisted that she get those cupcakes, and I was 150% on board with her. My sister almost had a heart attack when I told her that they – PGB – didn’t deliver/open on Sundays. THAT is how incredibly gluttonous we are.

We got them. We indulged. I still have some in the freezer to eat at a later time.

Well the lovely team over there is going to use some of the images my sister took of that day in their client meetings/web page etc. How awesome is that- so pumped!

Oh ya and the watermark on the bottom – my new company!

Stay tuned we are not ready to launch yet!

Happy Wednesday!

p.s. and how adorable is M all preggers – too cute!
