I read somewhere recently (maybe Apartment Therapy?) that these ‘conversation pits’ are making a comeback; it’s been awhile since their heyday in the 70s. Seems like such an intimate-feeling set-up.
Possibly. I almost designed a similar set up for a bachelor I worked with. He was unsure if it was too dated. I thought it would have been really neat! Roche Bobois had seating like this, by Missoni…I was tempted just because it’s Missoni ; ).
