DIY Knit Patchwork Blanket

When I initially saw this on Ready Made I was super excited to get started, but little did I know, that this was not going to be as easy at it seemed.  It’s actually super easy, if you have the skill, I however have very limited knitting skills and I can classify myself as absolute beginner.  So after almost a year of  back and forth and dragging this task out I am happy to announce that it is finally done! My knit patchwork blanket is complete and ready to keep me warm this coming winter.

Great color choices! I love a project that takes a long time, it’s fun going back to it and seeing your progress.

  6. Very pretty! I can’t knit anymore, but it looks so nice, I think I will try it in a different medium.

For non-knitters, head on over to a thrift store. Pick up some 80% of greater wool sweaters in your favourite colours. Throw them in a hot wash with a pair of jeans and then into a hot dryer. You want to purposely felt and shrink the sweaters. Once the sweaters have shrunk, cut them into squares. Piece them together, and voila!

Should say 80% OR greater :)
